Some helpful cryptography bits
Recently i came across the following site:
https://www.youtube.com/@applied_cryptography/videos
(University of Estonia)
Whilst all videos are interesting (!?) two in particular are very good:
Videos: 12 and 13 cover TLS (Transport Layer Security).
The videos cover version 1.2 which is a little old but very widely used.
TLS version 1.3 is the latest and is quite different.
What makes these videos helpful is they cover the concept without getting into massive detail, like most references do.
Why worry about TLS?
So far its mainly used in browsers/servers/?
But long term TLS will probably end up invading what we do, so this is a quick way to get a handle on it before it bites us!
There are a few others like onion router (tor), bitcoin…that might be of interest also.
